MTU-DSpace collects personal information only when you register an account or submit materials. This may include your name, email address, institutional affiliation, and submission metadata. We do not collect payment information.

Information collected is used solely for operating the institutional repository — managing your account, processing submissions, and complying with open access mandates. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
3. Dublin Core Metadata
When you submit research to the repository, associated metadata (author name, title, abstract, keywords) becomes part of the public record. This is necessary for discovery and citation purposes.
4. Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to improve your browsing experience. These are strictly necessary cookies and are not used for advertising tracking.
5. Data Retention
Submitted items and associated metadata are retained indefinitely as part of the permanent institutional record. Account information may be updated or removed upon request.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal account data at any time by contacting the library at librarian@mtu.edu.ng. Note that submitted works forming part of the permanent record may not be fully deleted.
